Pilot Walkthroughs
The first few months on the project I was working under another designer before they took another opportunity and I became the lead designer. During this time, the initial user testing consisted of several remote sessions with the advanced user group (McKinsey & Company).
As our power users, they will be using all aspects of the tool. In order to make sure that our more common user group is also able to get the most out of the new analytics tool, we conducted user tests with a few customers remotely while watching them interact with the tool via video conferencing.

Activity Planning Around Your Schedule
A Need
The inspiration for this project came about because of an observation that it is difficult to make plans, especially with others, if no one has anything initially lined up. The typical experience for couples for instance is to have one person ask the other, what do you want to do this weekend? This can go on for a very long time until someone suggests something everyone can agree on which could take a very long time to figure out.
The Vision
Time is the your most valuable commodity in life. Each passing moment has the potential to be an amazing adventure or an excellent learning experience. It is common for many people to not have plans for weekends, weeknights, and any other point of the week and this unused time just goes to waste.

Last Minute Phil
Day in the Life
Phil does not typically plan ahead. He is a millennial who goes with the flow. He is always looking for the most up and coming or hot-spot, trending locations.
He tends to base his decisions on his mood at the time and typically prefers finding activities that he and his friends can do together. He struggles making decisions and as a result he his friends feel unprepared for excursions. They find they regularly forget things and overlook important details.

Plan Ahead Jane
Day in the Life
Jane enjoys several hobbies and likes checking out the local scene but on occasion also exploring new opportunities. She typically plans ahead for her weekends to do errands, meet up with friends, watch a movie, etc, but on occasion she has some spare time that she would like to find something to fill it.
Based on her hobbies and interests she can use current applications to search for several activities, but she feels overwhelmed by all the options and resources she needs to use in order to plan for her event.
She wishes she had something that took what it already knew of her and helped provide a more personalized recommendation list and helped her better understand how to effectively fill her free time with meaningful activities and adventures.
